We meet again! Hi assalamualaikum! So we continue with a new topic which is Fish. What fish do you prefer? You can find many colorful fishes that can be pet. Fishes are the most suitable animal to pet since it doesn’t cost a lot.
I have researched some information of fish and I found that there are about 25,000 known species of fish. These amount known species of fish are divided into three main groups which are the jawless, the cartilaginous (pronounce as KAR-ti-LAJ-i-nus) and the bony fish. For your information, the jawless fish are the last survivors of the world’s first vertebrate animals, which means “back-boned”. They kind of lack both scales and jaws and dating from over 5,000 million years ago, only the hagfish and lampyers remain.

Besides, Cartilaginous fish developed about 100 million years later, ancestors of today’s sharks. The skeleton of these fish is made of cartilage; pronounce as KART-laj, which is not hard as bone. These fish have their jaws, as well as teeth which are usually hard and sharp. Essentially, their bodies are covered with hard scales.

Who knows what type of fish that have the largest group? Well, the answer is Bony Fish; fish that have bony skeletons. This species appeared at the same time as cartilaginous fish. They are the largest group, with about 20,000 species. Amazing right? Furthermore, these fish also have an organ called a swim bladder which gives the animals buoyancy; BOY-en-see, which meant by the ability to float.
As you all know, all fish in this world live in water and breathe with their gills. Fish are cold-blooded, which means their internal body temperature changes as the surrounding temperature changes. Here are some pictures of amazing fishes in our worldwide.
